Listen to: Xmas Puppies BISCUIT & OTIS & JELLY New Limerick 5/19/2008 Inspired after talking to Helen White after a Wayne Henderson concert in York PA. Helen has a coonhound named Spencer. She got Spencer when a neighbor's female coonhound who was not being properly cared for brought one of her new pups & put him in Helen's shed. Helen called the neighbor but he didn't want to be bothered. So Helen tried to coax the puppy out of hiding & feed him. Each day the mom coonhound would leave & come back with another puppy until there were 5 puppies in all. Helen raised the pups & took care of the momma coonhound. Helen eventually found good homes for 4 of the puppies & kept Spencer & his mom.
There once was a coonhound named SPENCER Whose mom thought that Helen was the answer Being one of the five Who with her help survived He thought maybe Heaven had sent her
Coonhound Limericks There once was a coonhound named Biscuit Who said upon spying the brisket I know full well that I'm gonna catch hell if I eat it, but I think I'll risk it!
There once was a coonhound named Jelly Who thought she'd take work at a deli A half pound of this will never be missed and sure would taste great in my belly!
There once was a coonhound named Otis who never once sat in full lotus He was at a loss as to which legs to cross And his guru's too blissed out to notice
There once were 3 coonhounds from York Who weren't Jewish but seldom ate pork It was said they remarked, though some would say barked "Enough with these limericks you dork"
